Informing the PMO to switch to a predictive approach is inappropriate; the project's approach is already defined. Telling the stakeholder they must catch up independently is unsupportive and unprofessional. Documenting the impact in the risk register and informing the steering committee without first attempting to resolve the issue directly is premature and escalates a situation that can be managed through direct engagement and mentorship.
