A web app in Azure App Service reads large blob data from an Azure Storage account. All resources are deployed in one region. You must move the storage account and copy all blob data to a different region. What should you do first?

To move the storage account and its data to a new region, the first step is to export the Azure Resource Manager (ARM) template of the existing storage account. This template defines the storage account's configuration, which can then be used to deploy an identical storage account in the target region. Initiating a storage account failover is incorrect because failover is for disaster recovery within a region or to a pre-configured paired region, not for a planned move to an arbitrary new region. Configuring object replication for all blobs is a data transfer mechanism, but it requires the destination storage account to already exist. Using AzCopy is a tool for data transfer, but it also requires the destination storage account to be provisioned first. Creating a new Azure Storage account in the current region or a new subscription in the current region does not facilitate moving the existing storage account to a different region.
