Telling the customer they cannot fully implement the feature in one iteration is a statement of a problem, not a solution. Asking the customer to simplify the feature or reducing the feature's scope without prior discussion or attempting to break it down first might lead to a loss of critical functionality or customer dissatisfaction. The goal is to deliver the most value possible, and incremental delivery facilitates this.
