Without GMS, many of these functionalities would not work. Android Enterprise Recommended is a program that signifies devices meet a higher set of standards for enterprise use, but it's not a minimum requirement for basic Android Enterprise support. Frequent Security Patches are crucial for security but are a best practice, not a prerequisite for basic functionality. AOSP is the open-source foundation of Android; while necessary for building the OS, it alone doesn't provide the Google services needed for Android Enterprise.
