A pronunciation lexicon is the most effective solution for consistent and correct pronunciation of specific words, like company acronyms, in Amazon Polly. Lexicons allow you to define custom pronunciations using phonemes or by providing a different spelling. This ensures that every time Polly encounters the acronym, it applies the specified pronunciation. Converting existing documents to SSML and using pronunciation tags for each acronym would be a tedious and unscalable manual process, especially for numerous documents or frequent updates. Enabling speech marks output provides metadata about the speech but doesn't alter the pronunciation itself. Preprocessing text with Amazon Lex is not designed for correcting Polly's pronunciation; Lex is for building conversational interfaces.
