Dataplex raw and curated zones exist. A team uploads JSON and CSV files into a bucket asset in the curated zone but Dataplex auto-discovery isn’t detecting them. What should you do to have Dataplex discover the files?

Dataplex zones have specific purposes: raw zones are for data in its original format, while curated zones are for clean, high-quality, structured data. Dataplex auto-discovery is typically configured to process raw data for initial ingestion and cataloging. Moving the files to the raw zone aligns with Dataplex's intended data flow, allowing auto-discovery to correctly identify and catalog them. Enabling auto-discovery for the curated zone is not the primary solution because curated zones are generally expected to contain already processed and structured data, not raw files for discovery. Using the bq command-line tool bypasses Dataplex's discovery mechanism entirely. Granting object-level access is a security measure and does not directly influence Dataplex's auto-discovery functionality.
