This empowers the team, leverages their collective expertise, and promotes ownership of the sprint plan. Asking an external technical leader to plan the sprint undermines team autonomy and responsibility. Removing items from the backlog prematurely is a reactive measure that doesn't address the underlying estimation challenge. Deciding unilaterally which items to include bypasses team collaboration and can lead to disengagement or unrealistic commitments.
