When Auto Provisioning is enabled in Azure Security Center, it automatically installs the Log Analytics Agent on all supported Azure VMs, including both existing and newly created ones. This ensures comprehensive security monitoring and data collection across your Azure infrastructure. Therefore, the agent will be installed on VM1 (existing Windows), VM2 (existing Linux), VM3 (new Windows), and VM4 (new Linux). The operating system (Windows or Linux) and whether the VM is new or existing do not prevent the agent from being installed when Auto Provisioning is active.
