How many copies of data does an Azure Storage account keep when using geo-redundant storage (GRS)?

Azure's Geo-Redundant Storage (GRS) maintains six copies of your data. It achieves this by replicating your data three times within a primary region (using Locally Redundant Storage, LRS) and then asynchronously replicating those three copies to a secondary, geographically distant region, where another three copies are stored using LRS. This provides high durability and availability, even in the event of a regional outage. Options 3, 4, and 9 are incorrect because they do not reflect the 3 copies in the primary region plus 3 copies in the secondary region that constitute GRS.
