In a DMVPN single-hub topology with OSPF, setting the OSPF priority on the hub's tunnel interface to a value greater than 1 ensures it becomes the Designated Router (DR). OSPF elects the DR based on the highest priority value; if priorities are equal, the highest router ID breaks the tie. Spoke routers typically have their OSPF priority set to 0 to prevent them from becoming the DR, as they cannot directly forward traffic between other spokes.
