For projects with high uncertainty, like innovation projects, an adaptive approach is best. Starting more iterations allows for frequent feedback and adjustments, which inherently reduces the need for formal change requests later in the project. Each iteration provides an opportunity to refine requirements and solutions, incorporating changes incrementally rather than as large, disruptive requests. Reducing approvers might speed up individual changes but doesn't address the root cause of frequent changes in high-uncertainty environments. Requiring sponsor approval for all changes would create bottlenecks and hinder agility, which is crucial for innovation. Adding a fixed number of client-allowed changes doesn't align with an adaptive mindset, as it attempts to constrain an unpredictable environment with a rigid limit.
