Multiple VPC-native GKE clusters share a subnet and the node IP pool is exhausted; clusters must be able to scale. What should you do?

Expanding the CIDR range of the existing subnet is the most straightforward and effective solution. This directly increases the available IP addresses within the current subnet, allowing the GKE clusters to scale without requiring significant network reconfigurations. Creating a new subnet would necessitate migrating resources or reconfiguring cluster networking to utilize the new range, adding complexity. Adding an alias IP range is for services and pods, not for node IP exhaustion. Creating a new VPC and peering it would introduce unnecessary network complexity and doesn't directly solve the IP exhaustion within the existing subnet where the clusters reside.
