Team needs better error capture and historical log analysis for a cloud product. What should you do?

Installing the Stackdriver (now Cloud Logging) agent is the most direct and effective solution for better error capture and historical log analysis on Google Cloud. The agent collects logs from your VMs and sends them to Cloud Logging, where they can be stored, analyzed, and queried. This provides a centralized, robust logging solution. Sending best-practice resources is helpful but doesn't implement a solution. Defining requirements and assessing tools is a good first step for a new system but delays immediate improvement and might be unnecessary if Cloud Logging already fits the need. Upgrading an existing tool might not address the core problem if the tool itself is insufficient or not integrated with cloud services.
