The project manager's role in an agile environment is often that of a servant leader and facilitator. When a team is stuck, the best approach is to facilitate a discussion to help them reach a consensus. By offering an objective opinion on the pros and cons of each idea, the project manager can guide the team toward a solution without dictating it. This empowers the team to make their own decisions, fostering ownership and collaboration, which are core agile principles. Asking the product owner to choose bypasses team autonomy. Suggesting options and holding a vote might lead to a suboptimal solution if the team hasn't fully explored the implications. Holding a session to present views and then vote, while better, still lacks the active facilitation needed to guide them to a well-reasoned consensus.
