When a FlexConnect AP switches to standalone mode, which behavior occurs?

When a FlexConnect AP loses connectivity to the WLC, it enters standalone mode. In this mode, the AP can still serve clients on locally switched WLANs, but all controller-dependent activities cease. This includes features like central authentication, central DHCP, and guest access, as these rely on communication with the WLC. Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) is an exception because it's an autonomous function of the AP to avoid interference with radar systems, required by regulatory bodies, and does not depend on WLC communication. Client roaming between APs managed by the same WLC will not work because the WLC facilitates the roaming process. Clients on centrally switched WLANs will be disconnected as their traffic path relies on the WLC. Not all clients are disconnected; clients on locally switched WLANs can maintain their connection.
