Which AWS service or feature requires an internet service provider (ISP) and access to a colocation facility to set up?

AWS Direct Connect establishes a dedicated network connection from your on-premises data center to AWS. This requires physical infrastructure, including a connection to an AWS Direct Connect location, which is often a colocation facility. You also need an ISP to provide the initial connectivity from your premises to that colocation facility, or to peer with AWS at the Direct Connect location. AWS VPN, in contrast, uses the public internet to create encrypted tunnels, so it doesn't require a colocation facility. Amazon Connect is a cloud-based contact center service and doesn't involve physical network setup in a colocation facility. An Internet Gateway is a component within a VPC that allows communication between instances in your VPC and the internet; it's a logical construct, not a physical service requiring colocation.
