However, each autonomous AP must be configured and managed individually, which can be complex and time-consuming, especially in larger deployments, making them harder to maintain. Cloud-managed APs, conversely, rely on a connection to a cloud controller for configuration and management. While this makes them easier to maintain and scale due to centralized control, they are more dependent on the underlay for their operational intelligence.
