Which device finds EID-to-RLOC mappings when sending traffic to a LISP-enabled site?

The ingress tunnel router (ITR) is responsible for encapsulating data packets from an EID (Endpoint Identifier) into an LISP header and forwarding them to the appropriate RLOC (Routing Locator). To do this, the ITR must first determine the RLOC associated with the destination EID. It queries the LISP mapping system to find this EID-to-RLOC mapping. The map resolver (MR) is a component of the LISP mapping system that receives queries from ITRs and forwards them to the appropriate map server (MS). The map server stores the EID-to-RLOC mappings. The egress tunnel router (ETR) decapsulates LISP packets and forwards them to the destination EID within its site.
