Which port type accepts the spanning-tree portfast command without extra configuration?

The spanning-tree portfast command is designed for access ports connected to end devices like workstations or servers. These devices typically do not create switching loops, and PortFast allows the port to transition immediately to the forwarding state, bypassing the listening and learning states. This speeds up device connectivity. Trunk ports are designed to carry multiple VLANs and connect to other switches; applying PortFast to them could create bridging loops. Layer 3 subinterfaces and main interfaces operate at the network layer and do not participate in the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) at the data link layer, making PortFast irrelevant for them.
