Which resource must a hypervisor allocate to its virtual machines?

A hypervisor, such as VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V, is responsible for creating and managing virtual machines (VMs). To function, each VM requires fundamental computing resources, with the processor (CPU) being a core component. The hypervisor virtualizes the physical CPU, allocating virtual CPUs (vCPUs) to each VM, allowing them to execute instructions.
