Azure Import/Export is designed to transfer large amounts of data into Azure Blob storage or Azure Files. Therefore, Azure Blob storage is a valid destination for imported data. Azure Cosmos DB is a NoSQL database service and does not directly support data import via the Import/Export service. Azure Data Lake Store (now Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2) is also a storage solution, but the Import/Export service primarily targets Blob storage for its block blob, page blob, and append blob types. The Azure File Sync Storage Sync Service is used for synchronizing on-premises file shares with Azure Files, not as a direct import destination for the Import/Export service.
