You installed ContosoApp on the session host image for a pooled host pool. When you try to publish it as a RemoteApp in the Azure portal using the Start menu picker, the application does not appear in the list. You need to make the app discoverable via Start menu discovery. Choose two answers.

For the Azure portal to discover applications via the Start menu picker, it needs to query an active session host. Therefore, ensuring at least one session host is running and in an Available state allows the portal to access its Start menu for discovery. Additionally, applications must have a shortcut in the Start menu path for the discovery process to find them. Creating a .lnk shortcut for ContosoApp under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs on the session host image makes the application discoverable. Specifying the application path via a mapped drive letter or enabling FSLogix App Masking are not direct solutions for Start menu discovery issues. Assigning the application group to a workspace is a post-discovery step for user access, not a prerequisite for discovery itself.
