Cloud Run is the best choice for minimizing infrastructure and operational complexity. It's a fully managed serverless platform that automatically scales containers up and down, even to zero, and handles all underlying infrastructure. This eliminates the need to provision or manage servers, clusters, or operating systems. Deploying to GKE Autopilot or GKE Standard clusters would introduce more operational overhead. While Autopilot manages the underlying infrastructure, you still manage the cluster itself and its configuration. GKE Standard requires even more management, including node provisioning and scaling. Deploying to a Compute Engine VM instance would require manual management of the VM, Docker runtime, and application scaling, significantly increasing operational complexity compared to Cloud Run.
