Affiliate marketing programs, including Semrush's, generally prohibit sharing commissions with clients. This practice is often considered a form of self-referral or an attempt to manipulate the system, as the client is essentially being paid to become a customer, which undermines the intent of affiliate programs to reward legitimate referrals. Attempting to circumvent this rule, whether by publicly advertising it, asking an affiliate manager to facilitate it, or doing it personally, is against the terms of service and can lead to the termination of your affiliate account.
