Cloud Dedicated Interconnect provides a direct, private connection between your on-premises data center and Google Cloud, offering the highest throughput and lowest latency among the options. This is crucial for applications requiring high performance and internal IP communication. OpenVPN and Cloud VPN both establish VPN tunnels over the public internet, which introduces latency and throughput limitations, making them unsuitable for "very high throughput and low latency" requirements. Direct Peering allows direct access to Google's network edge, but it's primarily for public IP traffic and doesn't offer the same private, high-performance connection to your VPC network as Dedicated Interconnect.
