Your architecture calls for the centralized collection of all admin activity and VM system logs within your project. How should you collect these logs from both VMs and services?

Stackdriver (now Google Cloud Logging) automatically collects admin activity logs for most Google Cloud services without any additional configuration. This includes actions taken by users or service accounts within your project. However, to collect system logs from virtual machines (VMs), such as operating system logs or application logs, the Stackdriver Logging agent (now Google Cloud Observability agent) needs to be explicitly installed and configured on each VM instance. The other options are incorrect because logs are not all automatically collected, a custom syslogd instance is not the recommended or most efficient GCP approach, and a single agent on one instance cannot collect logs from all other instances in the environment.
