Your Azure AD tenant has the groups listed in the table and you have Azure AD Premium P2 licenses available. Which groups can you assign a license to?

Azure AD Premium P2 licenses can be assigned to security groups and Microsoft 365 groups with mailboxes. Group1 is a security group, and Group3 is a Microsoft 365 group, making both eligible for license assignment. Group2 is a distribution group, which cannot be assigned licenses directly. Group4 is a security group with mail-enabled capabilities, but it's still fundamentally a distribution list type in Azure AD, which doesn't support direct license assignment. Therefore, only Group1 and Group3 can have licenses assigned.
