Multi-Regional buckets automatically replicate data across multiple regions within a continent, ensuring high availability and low latency access for users in that broad geographic area. By deploying separate Multi-Regional buckets in different continents (e.g., one in the US multi-region, one in the EU multi-region, one in Asia multi-region), users are served from the closest multi-regional location, significantly reducing download times. Saving files in a single Multi-Regional Cloud Storage bucket would provide good latency within one continent but not globally. Regional Cloud Storage buckets, whether one per zone or one per region, offer lower latency only to users within that specific region or zone, which is insufficient for global reach.
